No. Hearth runs every model on its own chip, so your voice, documents and automations are processed inside the box. It has no cloud accounts and no telemetry. The only network traffic is the update feed you choose to enable — and you can turn that off too.
Ask questions out loud, transcribe and summarize meetings, draft messages, plan meals around what's in your fridge, run the whole smart home, or keep a family calendar that answers back. Developers can build their own local skills with the included SDK.
Hearth ships with a curated set of open-weight models for chat, transcription, vision and code, and picks the right one per task automatically. You can pin a favorite model, and new ones arrive through signed monthly updates.
Plug it in, join it to your Wi-Fi from the Hearth app or a browser, and you're talking to it in about five minutes. No account, no password manager, no cloud pairing — and a physical switch mutes all microphones whenever you want.
Yes — completely. Because everything runs locally, Hearth keeps answering questions, running automations and controlling Matter devices with no internet at all. Updates and new models are the only things that need a connection.
Every Hearth gets five years of signed security and model updates, with an option to extend. Storage is encrypted with keys that never leave the Secure Enclave, and Studio includes a three-year care plan with advance replacement.
